Western States Symposium: Advancing Health IT & Interoperability
An exciting first-time event! HIMSS and the Colorado Chapter of HIMSS are partnering with AeA’s (formerly the American Electronics Association) Mountain States Council to deliver the "Western States Symposium: Advancing Health IT & Interoperability" on Friday, April 13, 2007. Stephen Lieber is the first speaker following the Governor of Colorado.
The event will focus on health information exchange policy - and what must happen between state government, the healthcare and insurance networks, and consumers to lead to the successful adoption of e-health practices. This one-day symposium looks at various state systems - where they are today and their shared best practices; how the private sector and state agencies such as Medicare/Medicaid are addressing e-health. The program brings together state health information organizations; state government and state agencies, hospitals, physicians, MCOs and payers.

HIMSS members will receive a member rate, which is $120 for the full-day conference. And all state government representatives and legislators will receive the government rate, which is $45 for the full-day conference.
